Strategy gaming specialists Kalypso Media and Limbic Entertainment have today announced the digital release of Tropico 6 for PlayStation®4 and Xbox One. The retail release will follow on October 8th. Digitally, Tropico 6 is available on PlayStation®4 in both standard and ‘El Prez’ editions ($59.99 / $64.99), with the latter including an extra decoration for your palace and tourist outfits for El Presidente. On Xbox One, the game is available as a standard edition ($59.99), with those that purchased the game during the Game Preview period also gaining the extra palace decoration and tourist outfits. At retail, both the PlayStation®4 and Xbox One versions come with four Tropican postcards, a digital soundtrack and calendar, priced at $59.99. After a widely successful launch on PC, Kalypso Media and Limbic entertainment have spent a great deal of time working with the community, implementing changes, and rolling out a host of new features which will ensure Tropico 6 to be an even richer experience across all platforms. On console, the game has been fully optimized for both the Dualshock 4 and Xbox One controller, and includes the ability to play cooperatively or compete, Prez v Prez, against up to three other players. Strategy gaming specialists Kalypso Media and developers Limbic Entertainment have today announced that Tropico 6 will release worldwide on September 27, 2019 for PlayStation®4 and Xbox One. The Xbox One version is available now in Game Preview, and just received a major update, which introduces the random map generator alongside other improvements and fixes. Kalypso Media has opened up the Tropico 6 beta to all for a limited time only, with a multiplayer stress test available now on Steam. Players can get in on all the action now until 18:00 GMT on 8th March, so be quick or miss out! The Tropico 6 beta offers access to the full tutorial, all eras (modern times only available in the tutorial), 11 sandbox maps, six missions and multiplayer for up to four players, and is available in English, French, Italian, German, Spanish and Russian. If that’s not all, El Presidente has also decided to launch a huge sale on Steam, with up to 70% off across the whole Tropico franchise, giving budding Tropican historians and completionists the chance to experience the history of the series for themselves or pick up that last bit of DLC they’ve been missing.
Kalypso Media and developer Limbic Entertainment have today released a new update for the Tropico 6 closed beta, available to all customers who have pre-ordered the game on Steam or the Kalypso Shop. To keep fans updated on progress of Tropico 6, there is also a beta roadmap detailing all the upcoming features to be added before launch on 29th March. January’s update includes the brand-new campaign mission ‘Better Red Than Dead’, numerous improvements to buildings, citizen interaction and customization options, balancing, UI improvements and general bug fixes.
